This guy has absolutely no clue how to stage or film a scene. There's no rhythm or rhyme to any of the editing. It's just reckless.

Wow is it that bad? I was just going to pre-order the BD now not so sure...

I would recommend you rent the movie out first rather than directly ordering the BD.

Actually, the film itself is not that bad, interesting concept/premise, etc., but in the hands of another director it could have been worthwhile.

Thanks! I wish I could rent it here first in the US, but no luck. I'll probably buy it, then re sale it.

All that said though, I do tend to be a bit more picky about this type of directing/editing than most people so maybe it won't actually bother you that much.

At any rate, have fun watching.

In recent years, the few half decent Jackie Chan films were directed by Ding Sheng. Therefore I kinda disagree with OP here.

Actually, I think Little Big Soldier is a good film that could have been even better were it not for Sheng Ding. I find that film works despite him rather than because of him. In that regard, Police Story 2013 is not that successful.
