Old porn stars in a bad children's film?

What's going on here? Kristine DeBell was in Playboy and did at least one hardcore porn film (Alice In Wonderland - 1976). Lisa London was the jumbo-breasted woman in H.O.T.S. and probably some other softcore films judging by the film titles in her filmography.

One pornographic actress who transitioned into mainstream films, fine. But two? That can't be a coincidence. That 70s porn version of Alice in Wonderland is interesting stuff and H.O.T.S. is one of the few DVDs that I bothered buying so I'm something of a fan of these old lady's work but to both be in a children's film is clearly some kind of sick in-joke. And these "(Whatever) Puppy" films (there's a series) are apparently really terrible, low-budget, straight-to-DVD crap. It's pretty disgusting. There's some dude jerking off out there because he cast two little-known porn women from the 70s into a children's film.

It is to be noted that the director of these said "(Whatever) Puppy" films, David DeCoteau, is actually an openly gay filmmaker and does not in any way "get off" on the idea of casting women like this in these films.

I'm not sure you understood the deviancy that I was suggesting. It's not about getting off at getting to work with former porn stars, it's about getting off over corrupting kids.

Not sure why you answered in the third person either. It seems that your filmography is almost entirely comprised of pornography so this is another disturbing element. Why the sudden interest in making bad children's films?

reply

Point check, I answered nothing in the third person. That would suggest that I myself AM David DeCoteau which I am not. Hence, thinking you know anything about "my" films means nothing because you don't know who I am or what the films I've worked on are all about.

As far as DeCoteau making films that feature former adult stars, you obviously just think that people who have been involved in the porn industry don't deserve to have careers beyond that. You don't know these actors or the filmmaker so it's very unfair and narrow-minded to think you know all about what their intentions are.

reply

So you're not this David DeCoteau guy yet most of your posting history is on forums for films he has directed? And these are obscure films often with forums that have one post in them. So you're going around regularly checking the message boards for David DeCoteau films FOR YEARS but you're NOT David DeCoteau? If you're not him, you clearly must have some close association with him. This is not the behaviour of even the biggest David DeCoteau fan (if such a thing even exists).

Also, it seems that I wasn't clear again. I don't think that porn stars should be doomed to forever be porn stars. But this is a guy who himself makes mostly porn and he hires two former porn stars to be in a children's film. Why the sudden interest in that market? I suggest that there's somebody out there who finds it titilating to make a children's film starring porn stars. They like the idea of children viewing a film with porn stars in it (and which is also directed by a guy who mostly directs porn). They like that there are parents out there unknowingly showing their children a film by a guy who does mostly porn films and starring former porn stars.

I've met the man and every director who is hailed as "awful" and/or "the worst" still has fans so don't act all shocked and amazed at the idea that someone looks at these message boards. If you want to get technical you come here checking these forums same as me. If you're not a fan then what's your excuse?

Have you even seen any of the films from the past few years listed on this man's filmography? Though a lot of these movies may have more mature content they're far from pornography. Watch some of the films and read a dictionary. You'd find much more risque material on Cinemax after midnight than any of the "1313" movies.

reply

It's probably simpler than the OP thinks. He probably just knows and is friends with old porn actors (since as we know he essentially makes gay porn), and wanted to give them work.

No 'someone getting off' theories, just giving some help to his friends I would guess. Although I do laugh at the fact the he makes both kids movies and gay porn, very odd filmography indeed...

There is a defined difference between hardcore and softcore. DeCoteau made like one hardcore like in the 80's the 80's and that was it. This newer stuff is NOT gay porn by any standard. It's basically a male equivalent to the way women get exploited in horror all the time. Instead of having women show they breasts constantly he has guys appear in the their underwear. There is there nothing pornography about that.

Secondly, I do agree with the fact that he just knows a wide array of talent and just happens to hire a few people here and there who have done work like that. Plus, it's to be noted that Kristine DeBelle who appeared in this and the X rated "Cinderella" is only a porn star by default. AT the time that film was considered X but by today's standards it's nothing but softcore material, lots of skin and simulated sex. There's no bodily fluids or penetration like in real porn... or DeCoteau's current films either!

reply

I don't care about that. I just hate that I felt this film was poorly directed and performed. It was like a 14 year old made it.
