One of creepiest lines I've heard in a horror film was...

When Vera was speaking to the friend about she and her sister having seen "Hannah in the red raincoat" and the friend telling Vera what'd happened to Hannah and why she'd committed suicide.. When the friend said the following it creeped me the f^ck out:

"I think that whatever you saw, or maybe your sister saw, I don't think that was Hannah, I think that it was whatever had gotten inside her and I think that it was wearing her like a costume."

reply

I've read stupid creepypastas that were WAAAAY more disturbing than that.

reply

Kudos to you for having read creepier creepypastas...lol..To each their own.. As i said, It creeped me the f^ck out.

If it would be snow, it would be yellow or even brown. Whoever did
that, had no idea about Christian mythology, horror and storytelling in
general.

reply

Wasn't that creepy. Prob cause it was some blonde housewife who said the line. If it was some creepy old man or something.
Plus it's nothing new. IDK which Stephen King story it's from, but there is a line/storyline that is about these monsters that would wear their human suit. Like a little girl saying something to a mom how something is 'wearing a daddy suit'.

reply

I think Lasagne sheets could work as a suit. I'm surprised Lady Gaga doesn't get on that.

Scientologists love Narnia, there's plenty of closet space.

Aren't you brave. It creeped him or her out it's subjective experience not a contest.

That scene was one of the best parts of the movie for me. As for the other comments; of course the idea of the person suit has been used before (Men In Black in particular used it to great humorous/creepy effect), but the acting and dialogue in this scene were more than enough to give me goosebumps. It was very well done.

reply

The line that creeped me out was "You aren't the one I want". 😱😱

reply

I am creeped out by a similar idea expressed in an otherwise mediocre horror movie called The Banshee Chapter: people who are aware/afflicted by the evil presences all say, "They want to wear us."

reply

Yeah it is creepy. I wonder if it has anything to do with the uncanny valley. Seems like it to me.

reply

without context the line would fall flat, but because of the scene with the sister lying on the floor and in the background the girl just splits open leaving a horned shape it works really well

I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me...
