So I watched the DVD tonight and during the 39 lashes does Caiphas go 18, 19, 30, 31then repeat the thirties again to get to 39 or am I just hearing it all wrong?

I thought I heard that too but, listening closely he does do the count right. Think it's just his diction and accent. ? It's not just you hearing it though.

Thanks. And you're completely right. I've just listened again and he does count it right! It does sound odd though.
