Awakenings

Anyone noticed the connection to Awakenings (1990) based on Oliver Sacks' book?

There is an exact same scene in the movie where a nurse describes how the music triggers the patients and that it has to be the music they know. Furthermore one of the patients says that it makes him feel "alive inside".
