Paul confirms that RE6 was post-converted into 3D!!!

Wow, this is a big turning point for Paul! He stated that the post-conversion technology has significantly improved (I agree!) and he wanted to shoot scenes without being restricted by large cameras/cranes but directed the film with 3D in mind.

That's wonderful news, while I love Afterlife and Retribution, mostly Afterlife could been better with so many scenes that got deleted or in the screen, the Pace Fusion camera was a good advertising but it really hurt the budget of the movie. I would prefer if it wasn't in 3D and feature longer scenes of Alice team with Chris and Claire having a new action scenes before reaching the Arcadia.

As for Retribution you can tell it had a bigger budget, I would only add an action scene of Jill, Leon and Alice working together while they fly to the White House.

I hate 3D :(

Yay, I might actually get to see this one in 2D. For some reason, both "Afterlife" and "Retribution" were only screened in 3D at my local cinemas; usually there are at least a few 2D showings.

I hate 3D. One thing I will say, though, is that those cameras they used for the last two made the film look gorgeous - even watching it on DVD, the image is so crystal clear and sharp.

Both RE4 and RE5 are some of the best 3D movies I've seen, so it'll be interesting to see what RE6 looks like in post-converted 3D. But I have confidence that the 3D won't look distracting because I've noticed that post-conversion technology has dramatically improved over the years. In fact, I've been fooled believing that some movies were shot in 3D but it turned out that they weren't! The technology has come a long way, anyone remember how awful 'Clash of the Titans' was in post-converted 3D? The majority of the movie was very blurry!

Paul is very serious about 3D. He doesn't believe in post-conversion unless it really does look genuine. I'm going to say he's going to be doing the post conversion process and over looking it. This is great cause Afterlife was the #1 reason I went out and bought a 3D TV in 2010!

I really hope he does the first three in 3D, along with directors cut in a huge complete collectors boxset. I'd buy it even if it was $300+.

Without 3D cameras, that probably means he focused more on the cinematography this time. He had more of a budget also. I think he said 3D cameras are very expensive. So he probably wanted to go out with a bang.
