Maybe it's the fact that people are so desensitized to mindless action that most if not all of your action scenes (besides that kickass tank chase and maybe one or two more) are as generic as they can get can be quite boring to a lot of people. Kinda like how Michael Bay ruined explosions forever.

the problem is that even if they are action scenes, the majority of them are BORING action scenes. think final fantasy spirits within action scenes, where they intense? no, not at all.

and also, the extreme amount of jumpcuts per scene really hurted my enjoyment.

I agree with OP this is not boring by any stretch.

It was the opposite of boring. It was absolutely intense! I joked with friends afterwards and told them I must have only blinked twice during the whole film because there was so much happening. It was entirely action packed from start to finish. I even forgot I bought food and did not realize I had it until the film was almost over because I did not get the opportunity to stop and just look down. My mate said when he watched it he dropped his phone and he spent ages trying to find it because he couldn't take his eyes off the screen and was trying to find it with his foot. This was the first film I have seen where 'nobody' got up and went to the lobby. This was certainly one of the best, if not, thee best film of the series.

To be fair, while I think The Final Chapter is hands down the worst film in the franchise, with a nonsensical, contradictory plot and horrifically bad editing - I couldn't say it was boring.

The pace is good, like other RE films. However, everything else is not and it's just a slap in the face to fans who have closely followed the franchise since 2002.
