Marilyn Manson made the best soundtrack
That first score...wow..so nostalgic. Why was Marilyn Manson never involved in the later movies?...damn he made the score so scary.

shareThey did use his theme as the basis for the "Extinction" score, which I loved. I wish they'd kept it as the movies' theme the whole way through; it was so fitting for the franchise and genuinely creepy.
Just a Jeannie in a bottle...
They did? I don't remember that. I should rewatch Extinction eventually.
shareMy favourite music in the entire franchise is that odd, creepy metallic theme that plays at the very beginning of the first movie when the screen is zooming in on the scientist handling the vials.
It also plays at the end when Alice wanders out of Raccoon City Hospital into the streets and finds the shotgun and racks it as the camera pans out to show the devastation in the city.
Man, back when the movies actually had enormous promise and were character and story driven rather than CGI driven.
Yes, the intro of the film, from Jason Isaacs' narration about Umbrella and then the zooming in, from black, to the guy handling the vials, this combination of sound and visuals had me completely hooked, and the rest of the film didn't disappoint.
shareI feel super bummed out when I look back over it and think about how much raw potential the franchise had after the first two movies, only to end up at this point.
