I am Christiano's biggest fan but he jumped the shark with this film! :(

P.S. This post contains spoilers.

Note: I'm not writing this post for darwinists, who will undoubtedly fail to understand what I'm talking about in it. Rather, I am writing this thread exclusively for Bible-believing Christians who might read it, and/or for the filmmakers themselves, and/or for people who are not yet Christians but are interested in repenting from evil, becoming good persons, and spending eternity in Heaven.

A finally had the chance to see this A Matter of Faith (2014) film.

I am Christiano's biggest fan.

I love his brilliant masterpiece of a Christian film, Time Changer(2002).

Time Changer is one of the most important and biblically-accurate films ever made!

So for me to be compelled to say that Christiano jumped the shark with A Matter of Faith (2014) breaks my heart. But I must say so nonetheless.

The core problem is that A Matter of Faith is guilty of violating some of the very same principles/values that the Time Changer character rightly championed as inviolable.

Example #1

Time Changer says: When science contradicts the Bible, the science is wrong, and it has no place in the classroom.

That is a great godly value.

In contrast, Professor Portland from A Matter of Faith says: Believe whatever you want, whether it is the Bible or evolution.

He is essentially implying that both are equally valid choices. That is an evil, anti-godly, anti-value.

Example #2

Time Changer's Bible society says that failure to obey God and accept Jesus' proxy payment for one's sin debt leads to an eternity in Hell. Again, that is a great godly value.

In contrast, Professor Portland from A Matter of Faith fails to mention Hell as a consequence for those who choose evolution. Moreover, no character in A Matter of Faith mentions Hell at all whatsoever. Ergo, the viewer is not provided the information about Hell that he or she needs to know in order to understand why believing and obeying God and the Bible over darwin and evolution is essential.

This seems to be an example of Christiano watering down his/God's message - as do outright fake Christian films of the kind that the Time Changer character would rightly call out, like Heaven is for Real (2014) and Miracles from Heaven (2016) - for the sake of becoming palatable to unbelievers.

But Christiano knows better than that. The Time Changer character would never water down any of God's messages under any circumstance, and (I think) nor would Christiano have done so in 2002. Christiano certainly "fell off the wagon" in this film by somewhat forgetting the values of his own Time Changer film.

Example #3:

Probably the most egregious example of Christiano compromising his & God's values and jumping the shark big-time: Professor Portland apologizes to Professor Kaman, even though Kaman caused Portland to be fired for teaching the Bible!!!!!!!!

What the heck?! Christiano, you definitely know better than this!!!!

Portland was fired for doing exactly what approved, unashamed workmen for God do. God and the Time Changer character, and Portland himself, and the 2002 version of Christiano himself (I think) would approve of Portland's noble work for God and also recognize Portland as a martyr who was unjustly terrorized by Kaman's evil.

But instead of Christiano pointing out that Portland was a victim of satanic forces, Christiano has Portland capitulate and apologize to the evil darwinist (Kaman) who ruined his life! It should be the other way around: Kaman should be apologizing to Portland, and also Kaman should be repenting from his evil (which is something that never happens in this film)!

Worst of all, Christiano also inexplicably has Portland say that he should have taught evolution as well! I am ashamed of Christiano for putting that statement into this film, as is God, because in so doing, Christiano allowed himself to express a bit of shame in the gospel and agree somewhat to compromise God's Word. Again, that is not something that the Time Changer would ever do...why is Christiano backing away from the Time Changer's perfect values?

I still love Christiano, but he needs to get back on the wagon, make more films that uphold the uncompromising values of Time Changer (2002), and never again make a film that compromises God's values, as somewhat does A Matter of Faith (2014.)
