Without question the best film I've seen in a very very long time

Today's movies are generally all the same, bad plots and trash acting.

I hadn't seen a good film in YEARS, until I watched Jojo Rabbit.

This film is amazing. Brilliantly casted and acted. The young boy in the central role is excellent. One of the best actors ever in my view. Even the little fat kid was endearing. The young girl was very believable.

Even the likes of Stephen Merchant whose acting I have not liked in the past was funny and sinister in Jojo Rabbit. The movie brought out the best in ALL actors.

Funny, politically incorrect, tragic, sad and uplifting. 10/10

Well said. People who don't like this movie need to be checked for a pulse.

Indeed.

This post is satire right? You actually hated it and believe the exact opposite of everything you said?

To each their own I guess. I thought What We Do in the Shadows was one of those special movies, but I didn't care for it at all. Also, this movie wasn't politically incorrect, it was quite politically correct. The scene where the mother is "punished" i the one mildly emotional scene, but what does that say when the movie is supposed to be primarily a comedy?

It's definitely original and unlike anything I've seen. I also like how Taika chose not to make it look dreary like other WWII films. Colors pop, the set design and costumes are vibrant (reminds me of a Wes Anderson film). Since this is largely from Jojo's perspective, perhaps the buoyant colors are how he sees the world. Ignoring his Nazi training side, he's simply happy being with his mother.

It's OK movie, but being the best movie in a long time, I don't think so. It could've been much better with some changes though.
