Season 2 Ep 2 - "Downtime"

So, after watching the whole episode through, I enjoyed it. 👍

But I will say that the main character is wholly unrelateable throughout the episode, mainly because it took her — what, 20 minutes into the episode? — before she finally “tipped” someone over? I mean, it took her that long to touch someone else (or even attempt to interact with someone in the trance)?

What would you do if you found yourself in her situation? If all of a sudden, everyone in town was staring at this ... this... UFO in the sky, voluntarily? Even your own partner does it — whom you love and trust — and yet you don't feel the urge to do so? You're not susceptible to the thing that seemingly everyone else is (except maintenance). What would you do?
