Yeah, but the episode sucked IMO. Worst one yet, by far.

best role was the brother. he gots his pie!
:(
I subbed to CBS AA solely to watch the first two seasons of Star Trek: Discovery, which I finished today.
The new TZ is not even close to must-see TV, so A. Traveler was my last episode until season 3 of ST:D comes around. CBS AA not worth the $ in my opinion.
Someone needs to tell the writers that just because it is the "Twilight Zone" it doesn't mean they can just write any nonsensical shit they want. There wasn't any irony or twist here in my opinion. So it turns out he was an alien, so what?
Maybe I am just unimpressed with the whole series.
I actually liked it. To me, it was the only episode that felt like an actual Twilight Zone episode so far
Aliens were a big part of the original, so I appreciated seeing them.
The first one was boring and predictable. Nightmare at 30,000 was just awful and the worst episode so far. The third was just a Black Lives Matter commercial
This one, while not great, was ok, even though the whole idea of some little power source being integral to an alien invasion is pretty dumb. But we often look at the original with rose-tinted glasses. There were plenty of dumb ideas in the original that we accepted because the show was so fun. "To Serve Man" is a good example. Classic episode, dumb idea. Why would the aliens hand the humans a cook book? How could a human even translate an alien language without the alien's help, unless the language was based on some human language?
"Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up."
They could have added a similar twist where Captain Lane Pendleton reveals he too is an Alien, and that his peeps have already intercepted the Traveler's ships. LOL!
That would have been neat, but then you'd just have people complaining that they are stealing the twists from the old show. Its a lose-lose situation that this show is facing, unfortunately
shareIt had elements of classic Twilight Zone, how he just appears in the cell for example. I was hopeful about it but it was still ordinary in the end. I think they could have gone down a different route in terms of how and why he travels.
It was definitely not great, but I'll take what I can get
It has to be accepted that these modern anthology sci-fi shows, Black Mirror, Dimension 404, and now Twilight Zone, will push "Social Justice" agendas. The original Twilight Zone was very liberal itself, and these shows are also chasing good press. So they will play the game
I think they are all mediocre. People laud Black Mirror, but I think it keeps getting a little bit worse with each season. Ultimately, you either accept it, as a fan of sci-fi/fantasy/horror desparate for more good content, or you reject it for its flaws. I choose to accept them, because I think these anthology shows are the only things in Hollywood that come close to approximating the great sci-fi literature that exists
I watched this episode and really felt it was confusing and unclear. I watched the thing will full attention (eg. no mobile phone use) and it was a mess. I had to read the episode description online after to ensure I understood it right. This episode should have been scrapped, nothing to do with the people in it, just a bad story and episode.
sharethe main difference between the remakes of TZ and the Serling original IS definitely the story.
black & white shows had one main plot and a few sub-plots and it was ok. these "modern" tales lack the big idea, and instead throw a few random themes for us to assume the show is good
it ain't :(
