Usain? Well-rounded or just a runner?
After I added my review comments I quickly got 2 of 3 "Not Helpful" votes which really mean "Do Not Agree". Probably because of this statement:
On the other hand what I saw was a happy-go-lucky overgrown kid who just wants to have fun. At one point when he was asked what he was packing for an overseas trip, maybe books. "No books, I am more of an Xbox person." Yes, he is the fastest man in the world, but he won't always be. What is he going to rely on when he gets into his 30s? No education and no interests other than playing games.
So, if anyone else comes to this discussion board, do you think my statement is too harsh? Is Usain Bolt actually furthering his education and skills outside of running? Does he have plans for life after track?
I am curious because so often we see professional athletes who become famous and wealthy only to find themselves broke in their middle years, because they never considered the fame and money would end. Bolt's comment, "No books, I am more of an Xbox person" causes me to wonder if he is.
