Bad math my friend.
I guarantee if you took a random sampling of 250 woman across the country, had men vote on all 250 woman + Shailene Woodley, and look how Woodley scored relative to the other 250 woman, she'd be in upper 25-percentile. This testing method negates improper usage of a scale.
Proof I am right? Consider 60%+ of American woman are medically classified as overweight, you're 5 looks foolishly out of touch with reality of American woman.

Ok that might be your opinion but I would more agree with that poster than you.
If you had men vote for 250+ woman she maybe would fall closer to 250 than 1 or even ten.
She is a solid 4. She isn't ugly but she isn't drop dead gorgeous either. She is just average.
Their are slightly overweight or "healthy American" (Note that most healthy American woman wouldn't be healthy outside of the US) woman who are rather attractive. Their are also rather ugly thin people. So I don't even know what you are getting at with that.

That people are using a 1-10 scale, with five being a mean of expectation, not a median (percentile) scale.
Most people's 1-10 scale would have majority of the population under three or four: a lopsided graph, when it should look like a bell curve.
If Woodley is a four, that means that six-in-ten other woman are more attractive; and that if you walked around and picked out the first ten woman you saw, six would be more attractive than Woodley.
