Whiplash: How smart camerawork can influence your sympathy

Hey, guys,

In the movie, Whiplash, there's a scene where Andrew (Miles Teller) breaks up with his girlfriend Nicole after being thrashed by his teacher Fletcher (J.K Simmons). While watching that scene I realized that the camerawork was really smart, the way it stays with Andrew in the first half (when Fletcher is being a dick), and then it moves towards Nicole in the second half (when Andrew is being a dick). The camera movements evoked such strong feelings in me that I made a video (https://youtu.be/nQKWnn_Krcg) on it to better communicate my feelings. It will make things more clear.
