Agree. Tho it would have been better (imo) had the two leads swapped roles.

Yep. He really impressed me here. This put him in my a-list. Foster was already on that list :)

Agreed. This is the type of work I wish Pine did more of--it's where you grow as an actor. Been nice to go a little deeper into his character, but he did a solid job. I've not been a big fan of his since his first appearances, but this role had him growing on me a bit.

Foster was amazing, as he always is. I think he's one of the most under appreciated actors out there. All I know is that if I was casting a movie, I could (and would) find a role for Ben Foster. Wouldn't even need to tailor the character to his skill set, since he'd have any base covered already.

Agreed on the movie part as well. A good movie with potential, but it turned out kind of flat to me, it definitely lacked something.

I concur, I have liked Chris for a while now and have been following his career since I watched him in the first reboot Star Trek movie, I've always thought that he was a good actor, but he has certainly outdone himself in this film! His performance in this movie was so superb and easily on the same level as Ben Foster and Jeff Bridges, his acting in this far exceeded my expectations and apparently many other people's expectations too 

I'd always dismissed him, unfairly it would seem, as a pretty boy with limited acting ability.
But with this, and an excellent performance in Z For Zachariah, he proved me well and truly wrong!
As others have said a superbly nuanced and layered performance!
