What a cynical remark! We should have let the Brits learn German in WWI. There was no reason for us to bail out their bacon. As for WWII, we were again BEGGED by the Brits for help. (The French always capitulate immediately; very little to help there.) Korea? The end was predicted; we should have saved the money and lives, and let them all fall! You know NOTHING of the written policies of American presidents, do you? Geez, it's difficult trying to pretend to be smart, when you haven't done the requisite reading!

America KNOWS the world map, since we ALL came from somewhere else. We are a "melting pot" and it is true. There is NO "American look" since we are a hodge-podge of peoples. EVERY country on the earth can name "cousins" that are in America. And, when I travel in Europe (one month every year) I am asked about their family members in Detroit, or Atlanta, or Chicago, or wherever. (Europeans are the ones who have NO idea how huge the US really is; they can't comprehend a country as large as ours, that is "settled" with airports, 4 lane highways, TV stations, hospitals, and schools, in every state.)

We instituted the Monroe doctrine in 1823 (when we were only THIRTY-SIX (36) years old because we KNEW there was no future in WAR (BECAUSE WE KNEW THE HISTORY OF EUROPE AND HAD STUDIED IT INTENTLY, FOR YEARS! We knew that EUROPE PROVED that constant war did not settle problems! And, to that end, we had a single war, the Civil War, that was instituted by those who had an interested in dividing the USA. When that didn't happen, they have up. Just look at the history of EUROPE if you want to know WAR!!!!! Wars in England; wars in France; wars in Spain; wars in Germany; wars in Italy; and, the capper of all, WAR STARTED BY RUSSIA (against Prussia, and the Ukraine, and every country around them (except China). How many years has Russian been fighting the Ukraine? How many DECADES? How many CENTURIES? WHEN WILL IT END??? And, when they had a bit of "time" on their hands, they CARVED UP AFRICA and turned it into the HELL HOLE it is today! All because of European intrusion! You can't settle anything without resorting to WEAPONS, BLOODSHED, WAR, RETRIUBUTION, and REVENGE. We KNEW enough to LIVE AND LET LIVE and to tell Europe to STAY HOME and mind their own business. This was all done BECAUSE we do know the world map! So, quit being snarky and quit trying to pretend you are "smarter" than the average American. TODAY there is war in the Ukraine; and war in Iraq; and war in Afghanistan; and war in Israel and Gaza; and the Middle-East is never safe; ditto Korea and Cuba; and butchering in Africa, and who knows when the Irish will start again. Latin America continues to send their poverty cases and gang problems to Mexico, which spills over to the USA. AND NONE OF IT BECAUSE OF THE USA! All because of AGGRESSORS who want something without working for it; they want it by FORCE and INTIMIDATION and WAR! They KNOW what works, but they refuse; it's too much work and promises rewards to everyone; they want NO WORK and NO INCREASES to the middle-class; they want ALL MONEY AND POWER FOR THEMSELVES!

It takes arrogance to believe you can "add" to something written by an incredible wit. "History" makes no sense in this context.

Also, you completely skipped the adage (truism) that HISTORY IS WRITTEN BY THE WINNERS!
