Was that episode the finale? I watched the "year" episode last Sunday and at the end it showed the DVD available that said finale. Is that true? Why would they introduce a new character and then end the series? I enjoy the show and would be very disappointed if it was over now. Does anyone know?
As I understand it, that is it for the show, it is done.
I think they introduced Oliver, the new guy upstairs, as a sort of replacement for Ash, meaning a new young man in the building for Freddy and Stuart to interact with.
Loved Violet saying it's like they're all three married together, they've been through so much!
I'm curious - where do you live that you saw it a week ago? I live in the Philadelphia market and we saw it Sun 6-19.

I live in Minnesota. When I said last Sunday, I meant 6/19. So we're on the same page. Sorry to see the show end. A new character at the end must be a Brit thing.
I think the new character at the end was to let you know that their lives would go on, even with Ash moved off to America to begin his own life. I thought it was a cool ending. Plus, since the new guy actually recognized Freddie, it was like he was an upgrade.
