Take Manson and place him in NYC and cast him as a metrosexual leader. So instead of Topanga Canyon and celeb mansions you got dive bars and 20-something meat markets. And bi Sexy Sadie suggestible as ever and ready to do the bidding of the cult. Then here comes schizoid Julia, vulnerable and unstable, who gets sucked in by a Doctor who knows how to trigger her. And off we go. Feminism, no, but lots of dark ecstasy, token lesbianonics and hard-to-watch male mutilation of amoral barflys.

Entertaining, whether it knew the inner landscape of the characters or not. That's all I care about.
