What would you like to see in the Looking movie?

Just wondered what everyone's thoughts are about the movie and what they would love to see happen.

If Patrick and Richie patch things up I will be very happy.

Thats far too predictable

I really hope they do go back down the Patrick and Richie route

reply

Sometimes predictable can be nice! I sure would prefer that then Patrick ending up with the cheating prince!

lots of orgies, full frontal nude scenes, dp, creampies, some lesbian action and porn star cameos.

If you start sitting around the campfire, telling scary stories -- change our names!

I watched "Weekend" for a third time and if AH follows suit I think Patrick ends up alone. He doesnt deserve either Kevin or Richie with his behavior and I hope he comes to realize that and changes for the better.

I will always be a Kevin fan and my hope is that Kevin is happy at the end of the movie, maybe he finds the love of his life and does get married for LOVE to stay in the country. I did root for Kevin and Patrick but after watching season one and two a few times since it has gone off air, my feelings for Patrick have soured and I do not blame that on JG who played Patrick as written and beautifully but Patrick never appreciated what he had with Richie in season one and Kevin in season two. Sure you can trash Kevin for cheating but Patrick was right there with him. Kevin did upend his life for Patrick. But Patrick said it in 210 maybe he wanted to be in the relationship to prove to everyone else he could do it. That's an individual that has no sense of what a mature loving relationship is. It is a great deal of understanding, sacrifice, communication and dealing with all the mess that comes and goes in the course of being a couple. Patrick seemed unwilling to put in the work with either Richie or Kevin. It's not sunshine and kittens all the time and Patrick became too childish and closeminded to see the reality. He wasnt a good listener. He put on his blinders and fully bought into his kiddish fantasy of what he thought having a boyfriend was really about.

Please bring Lynn back for Dom. Dom looked so alone in 210.

Would love to see Frank again.

Could the film be centered around Halloween again?

I could see something similar to the ending of WEEKEND. But then......the last 15 or 30 minutes pick up about 5 or 10 years in the future where Patrick has become successful in his field but it has been a lonely journey and while he has had a great life where he has traveled to different places and has enjoyed the fruits of his labors and enjoys being a uncle/god parent to the kids of Augustine and Eddie and Doris and Malik he still wishes he could have that for himself and still regrets the way he screwed things up with Kevin and Richie and hates coming home to an empty condo. By chance he re-encounters Richie who has since opened his own barbershop and is better off financially. The two reconnect and Patrick now close to 40 has the maturity to be with him.

The End

I wish we could have a series of special Looking movies. Maybe this first one takes place two or three years into the future. If this film picks up right where we left off with 210 I will be disappointed.

And I certainly don't see a neat ending for all the characters happy and in love. Since Dom was really with no one from 204 till the end, my bet is on Dom to be the one who is in a relationship and happy.

I believe that Patrick finding love will be a central theme.. Andrew Haigh said, "Patrick is ready to get what he wants now and that Patrick really cant understand why he can't find true love"..

Its clear Patrick is ready.. I'm just not clear about which direction they will take..

I don't think he'll want to repeat anything similar to the ambiguous "Weekend" ending...

I think that would be too predictable...

In my heart of all hearts I think it'll center around the angst of Richie and Patrick negotiating a second attempt at being more than friends... I think it'll be messy, emotional and rocky but end the end it'll work out.. They have all spoken about Patrick and Richie's soulful connection.

I would like to see Patrick get a second chance with Richie, after the two start to become true friends. I feel like there is a story there, with Richie's family.

I agree with most of you, in that the movie would ideally take place a year or two after the end of the season two finale.

I would really like to see Patrick get back together with Richie, for no other reason than that Raúl Castillo deserves more screen time! I don't know if that's too predictable or not, but it seems pretty clear that Richie is not completely happy with his current relationship.

I warmed to Agustín a lot more in season two than in season one, so it would be interesting to see if his romance with Eddie has lasted.

As for Dom, he also deserves to be happy, but I hope he doesn't get back together with Lynn. That relationship will go nowhere!

Maturity. The very staple of the IMDb message boards.

Actual gaysians in San Francisco.

Something that is more realistic and true to the demographics of the city.

I would like to see the following:

1) Some resolution between Patrick, Kevin, and Richie. I personally don't think that Patrick should pursue something further with Kevin because like Patrick stated in the series finale, their ways of thinking are so different. Patrick has no problem being monogamous while Kevin does. I think that Patrick and Richie would be the best together personally.

2) Dom's starter business along with learning to not rely on Doris. Although the series finale did a good job at wrapping up this storyline.

3) I'd like to see more of Agustin and finding his way. I really liked his character evolution, and it reminded me of Ted from Queer As Folk. I'd like to see Agustin perhaps continue working at the LGBT youth shelter or find a different career.

I agree. If anything I think the Richie/Patrick/Kevin triangle is the only story-line that needs some resolution. Augustine and Dom's story-lines seemed as if they were pretty wrapped up.
