1: why did the zombies suddenly stop at the end? I'm guessing it was because beth died, so Beth started and ended it all? But why?

2: what made the zombies suddenly start appearing? Something that happened with Beth? If so:

3: Why did Beth come back?

Zombie movies typically don't explain any of that. Learn your genre.

No need to be rude 😟 It was the first zombie film I've seen, since I have a big fear of zombies so don't watch them.

It's pretty clear: Zach was a wizard and he started all of this by accident by not being able to let go and wanting Beth back.

1: The zombies didn't suddenly stop, they had been stopped by the militia.

2: This is intentionally left open, see genre reference by rude previous poster.

3: Intuitively / for no apparent reason, as she couldn't even remember anything.
