Clones, and both funded by the NZ Film Commission.

Mt. Zion (2013) was yet another NZFC bomb, yet development of The Pa Boys (2014) continued, despite it being a duplicate of the previous dismal failure.

Why?

Because it was co-written (undercover) by Briar Grace-Smith, the wife of director Himiona Grace, and Briar Grace-Smith is a NZFC development executive.
