Trilogy of Terror
Does nobody realize that this sounds similar/related to "Trilogy of Terror" from 1975? I just noticed this movie at Redbox and I'm kind of stoked.

shareThe story is different than Trilogy Of Terror. Karen Black does make an appearance though.
Gimbos The Name & Horror Is My Thing!
This movie may or may not be similar to Trilogy of Terror but that movie was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw Karen Black's name.
shareThe doll definitely resembles He Who Kills. And Karen Black is cast here simply as homage; she assumes the classic stance from the end of Trilogy of Terror.

I remember the story in Trilogy of Terror, the original story was much better, made more sense and really scared me. The again I must have been 5 or 6 years old when I saw it.
I never saw TRILOGY OF TERROR, but I do own the sequel on VHS.
As for the Ooga Boga doll, it's the same one previous used in Charles Band's earlier film DOLL GRAVEYARD. It's not technically canon from what I've heard, but it is a sort of spinoff. I'm not sure if the doll was inspired by the killer doll from TRILOGY OF TERROR.
