Hollywood is really trying to push her to be a star !
I'm sure there's better people out there
The IMDB message boards you either die a good poster,or live long enough to become the troll

This is exactly what I see too. Its like some kind of propaganda campaign - no joke. I've never seen such a mediocre comedian get so much marketing.
shareIt's not Hollywood. The propaganda is coming from Comedy Central/Viacom because -prepare to be shocked- they want to make money!
The Hell I say.
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I
You seem country as hell. Which state are you from?
shareI think she's a star because she's a very funny person and people like that.
"Here's to the losers"
Keep in mind that 'stardom' is ultimately conferred by the public at large. If no one wanted to see Amy do stand-up, no one would ever go see her live. If no one watched to see her act, then "Trainwreck" would have been a big bomb at the box-office, and her sketch show would have been cancelled by now.
shareWho is "Hollywood"? She is everywhere because people want to see her. She did stand up in the city I live at a 17,000 seat arena and tickets to the show were going for double/triple face value on re-sale sites. Most women I know think she is really funny and her humor is so obviously directed toward women so a lot of men don't like it. 99% of comedy is directed toward men so she really tapped into an underrepresented market and it's paying off big time. I don't get why people are so upset over her success, is it really because she's overweight and not pretty (according to television standards, not real life standards).
shareNo need to push her. She has genuine talent, even if you disagree.
