"Amy is so ugly.." "Amy is so fat..."

Anyone who calls Amy Schumer ugly or fat needs to shut the fu** up and look at yourselves in the mirror. At the least, I consider her average-looking. Everyone has their own tastes in the opposite (or same) sex. And god forbid a woman gains 15 pounds. There have been plenty of famous 300 pound men with faces fit for a horror movie but you don't see too many women bitching about it. Guys like you people make me so fu**ing happy I'm a bisexual with options so that I can be with women if I choose to, instead of wondering if I'll get put down by one of you disgusting pigs for gaining 8 pounds.

Wow, talk about sexist!

She has a right to say whatever she want's on her show, and to allow the other actors on the show to say the lines she writes for them. It's HER SHOW, not yours. Amy Schumer's fat and ugly jokes at least 20x an episode are pretty much her trademark. So often, that if she listened to what your saying, and "shut the..." she would only have about a quarter (or less) of her actual material left to work with.

If you don't like her jokes, just don't watch the show!

Oy. Amy isn't a guy. Stop being so sexist! Just because she's not stick thin and jokes about herself is no reason to call her a guy!

reply

She never actually calls herself fat. Other characters on the show call her ugly or fat, and she's imitating the criticisms other people have said to her, visa vie the internet or in person. She's able to poke fun at herself for being "fat", which is great if she actually were overweight, but she's not.

You're kinda dumb, aren't you?

LOL! That's so cute. It's a funny little troll that pretends to be so clueless that they don't realize they are responding to something that was sarcastic and mocking in it's entirety!

Yea, I think we're done here, no point in feeding the buffoonery beyond this point.

says the OP who doesn't pick up on the obvious sarcasm. lmao

Once again, dumb yankees call everybody and everything sexist. Shut the f_ck up already! I don't give a *beep* if she has the looks or size of a hippo. She makes jokes about it? Don't care, it's a comedy... Someone doesn't like it? Their full right... There is no sexism in any of that. Not only women are judged based on their looks and/or fatness. You do know that, right? IMDB, I beg of you, deny the word "sexist" from the boards!

reply

It. Was. A. Joke.

reply

U put yourself on screen and people r gonna talk about your appearance. It's just human. It's apart of TV. Plus she is kind of doughy

reply

I'm sure you're a real Brad Pitt yourself. It's not just human. You choose to judge people or not. You are responsible for your own choices. Just because it's a part of TV culture doesn't mean it makes it ok. I'm sure your parents must be proud.

reply

People do lots of things that aren't okay. Thats life. That's what bothers me about her show She is always bitching about how unfair the entertainment industry is to women in her subversive snarky way. But if the worst thing in your life is people talking about your weight than I think ur pretty lucky. I mean what about the women in Afghanistan or other messed up countries. Those women would probably kill for that kind of life. Where the worst thing u have to deal with is people talking about ur weight. And no I'm no Brad Pitt. I've always thought of myself as more of a George Clooney/ James Dean kind of look

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Don't be fooled.
Half of the women have couth.
and the other half wouldn't make fun of a 300 pound man because we would not even aknowlege his exsistance.

Are people really making a fuss about Amy's weight?
That's insane. It's obvious she doesn't work out so that's why there is no definition in her body, but is she fat. No Way, Jose.

I don't let anyone hot-comb out my HAIRitage!

John Goodman is a highly respected actor and no one says anything about his weight. Luckily I can't really think of too many other male actors who are unhealthily overweight.
It's funny... I've always been kind of a chubby chaser myself... I Like those big bear hugs. But yet, the only time I ever see a big girl with a skinny guy is when I go out into the country, or on "Cops"... there's a lot of hillbilly little guys who like bigger girls.

LOL are you kidding me? Google "John Goodman fat jokes, John Goodman's weight problem" and see the sheer number of articles and comments about his weight. You are cherry-picking and outright lying so you can create a narrative that doesn't exist. It's *beep* pathetic, it's also obvious you got a major chip on your shoulder about it. Fat person with penis = no one makes fun of them, fat person with vagina = always made fun of. That's your worldview.

We live in a culture of idiots "educated" by TV and internet who think all women (at least those who appear on TV or internet) are supposed to be "10's," and anyone not like that--i.e. 99% of humanity--is "ugly." Of course they don't see the hypocrisy when movie after TV series after movie after TV series features average-to-fat-slob male stars playing characters who are magically dating or married to trim, healthy, knockout women. Because that's the fantasy they're buying. Of course, if an average-to-fat-slob female character was shown involved with a "Magic Mike"-type stud, the same viewers would have a heart attack protesting how unacceptable and absurd and just plain icky that is.

reply

She's okay looking. She looks a bit like a cabbage patch doll, and has that "potato face"

Not hot and not ugly.

The thing is, it's okay for male comics to be fat and unattractive (John Candy and John Belushi spring to mind) but woe betide a female comic being that way. Amy Schumer is not a model, she's a comedienne. Why is she expected to look like one? I just don't get it.

Don't let anyone ever make you feel like you don't deserve what you want.

That's fine, I don't need to think about *beep* them!

reply

Hey, guess what? You don't need to think about *beep* Schumer, either!

Because John Candy was NEVER made fun of for his weight or was pressured by people in Hollywood to NOT LOSE WEIGHT (One of hte main reason John Hughes quit directing)
Give me a *beep* break.
