shareI pretty much agree. But Sarah Silverman & Lisa Lampanelli do have a unique style of comedy and are actually funny.
Sloth-face-Amy, on the other hand, is a try hard and has nothing special going for her. If she were male, she'd be doing gigs at dive bars for a living. She has her gender and Apatow to thank for being where she is today.
Listen/watch her interview on Stern. She's a skank who spreads for a hot meal and has nothing interesting to say.
I saw her leaving an all you can eat buffet back in October. No joke. The pics others and I snapped are still on Google somewhere I reckon. I'm sure she said it was just for laughs. I guess she has to keep the fat on. She probably heard about the Jonah Hill thing.

Well even Sarah Silverman and Lisa Lampanelli's material is 80% sex jokes. Come to think of it, I haven't seen or heard Lisa Lampanelli in a long time. Maybe she is actually only able to work in those dive bars you mentioned now. All I remembered her ever joking about was how many black men she slept with.

Does gender alone account for her success tho? There are literally thousands of female comedians who would love to have their own show on Comedy Central, as Amy does.
