Why do they have to be classless?

Aside from my personal views on obesity, ( which admittedly are more negative than positive) I take even more offense at the women who host this show. They both behave and communicate in a ignorant way, displaying the full southern-cliche to the hilt, replete with exaggerated drawl, poor grammar, bad clothes, bad hair, and bad make-up. Their company car ( which it seems they use for personal use as well) is painted with graphics and slogans for their "LiviRae" store which embarrasses one of their daughter's.
Their assistant Loren, who they claim they love and brings "sexy class" to their store is beyond credible with even worse clothes, hair and make-up than our two hosts. She didnt know what a bridal shower was and booked a bachelorette gig ( on a tissue) for the company, at a very upscale home stating " we're going to bring skank to the swank". They claimed victory for the parties success, I espouse it was the copious amounts of champagne being consume mid-day to the snooty rich women, one I believe was a friend of either Hopkins or Richards. I felt embarrassed for them. Then there was the bra fitting for a group of obese women ( an all black singing group) and then a fitting for another obese black woman who apparently is the "world record" holder for largest chest and then another black women with asymmetrical breasts, and then a black man with a fetish. They even went as far as to call-out their server in a restaurant chiding her for her bra choice- really a classless thing to do. Then there was the man-bra ( I believe it was called the "bro" or the "manzier" from the Seinfeld show nearly 20 years ago) which they claimed they invented. The whole thing was extremely low-brow, cliche'd, staged, and in poor taste.

You sure it's obese people you have a problem with or black people? Why is it important to point out the race of the people that have been on the show? Why no mention of the white people they've had on? The ex-cheerleader? The pinup model? The 4'11" woman? There have been plenty of non black non obese people on the show. I've seen other employees on the show that don't talk, one black girl in particular (oooohhh) but I guess they picked the one you don't like because she chose to be on? Because she's the type of character the producers felt would be more entertaining?

Sir or madam, usually I don't bother commenting on posts such as yours and I genuinely applaud your ability to consult your thesaurus. However, you are making such basic grammatical errors while simultaneously criticizing these women for things of which you are guilty. The show is placed in Atlanta, sometimes you see black people. In fact, they are everywhere, and a lot of people are okay with it! Yes, Atlanta is in the south, and while not everyone is a stereotype of their geography, many people genuinely act the way they do. I'm not sure where you are from, but they seem much nicer and accepting than you. Sometimes people are different body types. To each their own. If you're going to call someone out for being ignorant, open your mind. It will only hurt for a second, I promise! Not to mention, no one likes a hypocrite.

When they start airing my letters on TV, then I will employ spellcheck/grammar check. In here, I don't mind so much. My comment was not racist. I lived in Atlanta for 8 years and am well aware of the demographic there. My comment was intended ( obviously I failed) to illustrate the banality of shows that get the green light and the abated level by those who display their social cliche, and those whose threshold has systematically degraded to eventually absorb show of this nature as entertainment. I was attempting to point that out by specifying the low-brow mentality of the show's players, and the inordinate ratio of obese black women to all of their other customers.

reply

Two things still wrong. There's not an inordinate amount of obese black women on the show and you still haven't made a legitimate point as to why that's a problem. All you've shown is that you have a problem with there being any obese black women on the show period. Lots of Americans are obese. There are lots of black women in the Atlanta area. Deal with the fact that there are going to be some on this show.

If you don't like it... Don't freaking watch it. Is it REALLY that hard of a concept to understand?

If you don't like it and you don't watch it you DON'T have to share your opinion of the show because NO ONE cares about it. Having a hissy fit over a bunch of fat southern women getting bras on IMDB of all places is NOT going to help. If you honestly have your knickers in that much of a knot why don't you send in a complaint to Lifetime since they are the ones airing the series?

Oh but I forget there's no public glory attention if you do THAT is there?

I just do not understand people like you. Hate for the sake of hating. Just give it up and go do something that actually interests you and stop wasting people's time with stupid comments.

There's TONS of shows I don't like and I do not go on their pages bitching about them. I have more INTERESTING things to do than waste my time complaining about *beep* I can't change.

First, Calm down.
Secondly, you have no idea how I feel.
Third, this message board is about shows you watch, like them or not, and then commenting on them. Sorry if that basic concept escapes you.
4th, unless you have taken a poll from everyone here and are willing to share the results of that poll with me, then espousing what others feel and think about me and my comments is ridiculous
5th, in my world, that is to say planet earth in the here & now, people have opinions and a right to express them, especially in an open and public forum. Sometimes we agree, sometimes we don't. Thats life. Live it, learn it, know it.

Plex, the only thing I wanna know, is where are you from? Because clearly you're from an all white, all thin place where people sip their glasses with their pinky fingers up. These women are not classless at all. They have a business dedicated to helping women feel beautiful no matter their size or shape and in this day and age...thats a good thing.

When TVD brings Lucy and Sheila back my life will be complete.

reply

Thats all you wanna' know? Where I'm from? You already answered your only question and apparently what all of the people look like, what race they are, and how they drink. You already know more than me.

You tell him! This guy is just a troll and most likely looks like one too!
