Do you think it would have made movie more interesting if Kyle Atkins had recognized the reason behind Loverboy's revenge attack?

Kept waiting for them to reveal that the surviving little girl at the beginning was Kylie.

The events with young Loverboy and the 2 girls took place in 1988. Kylie would've had to have been close to 40 if she were the surviving girl.
