Wow...

reply

Wow! I thought for sure that it was going to be PG, especially with the breast-feeding scene near the beginning. That is interesting. I'm still looking forward to see it on the big screen though, even though I watched it the other day.

reply

For me, I thought it was going to be rated PG for emotional intensity or something.

Not only that, but Sutemaru's beating was pretty brutal, definitely not U material. It was the sort of scene that would have been better suited to Princess Mononoke.

I am tired. I am...............DEAF!

reply

Actually, we Brits have bodies, you know, some of us even have breasts, and we are not terrified of them.
The film's certificate says 'Some natural nudity. Suitable for all.'
That's us. Normal, natural people. Suitable for all.

reply

Totally agree! although Im not british ;)

Yeah, I've just watched it and I'm not being a prude - but I did thinking that the breast growing and feeding scene pushes into PG territory.

reply

Make sure no child ever sees a breast. When breastfeeding your baby, do it in the dark, or blindfold him. Make your older children go and stand outside, even if it's snowing. It would be terrible if any child ever found out what women's breasts are for, before he gets introduced to them in porn magazines, behind the bike sheds at school or under his classmate's mattress.

You people are weird :)

Best answer ever!

Every day millions of British children are breastfed, sometimes in front of their siblings sometimes in public (as is 100% legal over here)

Why would a scene featuring this 100% natural thing have any bearing on the movie's certificate? You're definitely being a prude.

...It's a cartoon, calm down.

Why do people so frequently get told to read the book on a movie database?
