fridges

I missed the whole thing with the fridges. Who backed it up or did it back up automatically? And Why did it pick fridges?

When Gilfoyle was using Anton to hack Jian-Yang's fridge password, once he got through, Anton actually backed itself up onto the fridges via wireless 802.11ac upon detecting hardware disconnect, without Gilfoyle knowing it, and since the fridges are connected to the Internet, Anton was able to self-replicate across multiple fridges, thus preserving all of the data.

The problem is this is unrealistic without an artificial intelligence, and they don't really explain how Richard's server-less Internet is able to be connected to via conventional Internet, because that does use servers.

Thats what i was confused about. They showed a bunch of fridges in a store, implying data was backed up on those. Why would it use all fridges even not attached to the house's network? Guess its one of those "it is what it is" situations.
