Just finished the series

There were some aspects I really appreciated about this show. The way the victims were murdered was creative, but it takes way too long to get the answers.

You mean like in reality? Don't you see that is why it's such a good series? No true formula? Not 'Hollywood' at all? How they do things far away in Wales unlike us on-demand around here? A condition you're exhibiting.

The rural landscapes. Him living in a double-wide trailer in the middle of nowhere? The beautiful empty streets, old buildings become actual characters themselves? And what did the Chief do at the end to the guy they captured, they pedophile? Will that be first episode next season?

I'll have to wait for these to hit Netflix again but that's okay as there are plenty other fine series to watch.

Love this series! I am watching it on Netflix. Wow what inventive ways to kill a person.
This show alone make me like to visit Wales just for the scenery alone! How do anyone get around without a car or cell phones? The locations are far, lonely and uniquely beautiful.
I love the characters of the show except the Chief inspector.😠 There is something he is hiding and a bit strange about him.😒 People on this forum complain that there is no laughter on this show. So what if the main characters do not smile, but they can tell a great story. As the ex-London detective is learning Wales, so are the TV audience.

Too bad it was only 4 ep. I hope there is a 2nd season.

Also just finished...last night, in fact. (I think I just happen to stumble on the show while browsing Netflix.)

Anyway, I've gotten familiar with watching these types of series on BBC. So the slow, methodical buildup and intricate plotting leading up to the payoff is something I'm used to seeing.

But, I what I’ve never been able to get over is that these law enforcement types DO NOT CARRY WEAPONS! They get the crap kicked out of them, and all they have is a flashlight?

WHAT'S UP WITH THAT!?!

Still...enjoy it quite a bit and looking forward to its return.

Police carry guns in Ireland, but not England or Wales. Not sure about Scotland.
I saw one British series were because they dont carry guns an officer got killed by a maniac with an axe and her partner beat the man to death after she handcuffed him. Had they been carrying guns they'd have both shot him, in self defense. He'd still be dead but both officers would be alive.
