who else doesn't hate it?

I know a lot of people dislike the film and think it could be better (it could be for sure), but I found myself really enjoying the film at the end. I love the suspense, the story and the mystery surrounding the two male leads, how you piece things together very quickly from the start and the incredible dynamic that the two have with each other.

Sullivan Stapleton is such a fantastic actor! The scenes where he breaks down into tears and then all of a sudden snaps back into composure - and how he can easily transition from a look of tenderness and caring into one of aggressiveness and anger - is phenomenal. Wow.

Jessica De Gouw's performance is equally as commendable, she does a great job as the third wheel in a way, being the strong, independent woman who stands up for what she believes in throughout the film. Alex Russell's acting could've been better, he had a blank look on his face a lot of the time, but he also brought something special to the film despite being the weak link. His chemistry with Stapleton is undeniable I think.

Sure the film has a few predictable plotlines, terrible detectives and quite honestly, horrible CGI (that fire was just so... bad) but as a whole it was very well done. From the shots of the established growth of the garden bed to it being trampled by the people who grew them themselves in the end, that was genius.

And that ending... Dear god that ending made my heart ache.

I am not ashamed to say, I love this film.

Count me in. I saw the movie last night and have been completely bowled over. Sullivan Stapleton shines through the film, comfortably switching from the aggressive monster to a passionate gentle giant. Jessica De Gouw was great as the resilient and quite love interest to Alex Russell (who I cannot commend much on his performance).

Overall, the film definitely creates a niche genre for itself and I do not get the mediocre reviews at all.

I found Cut Snake quite enjoyable. I'm echoing others by praising Mr. Stapleton's riveting performance of a complex criminal.
