This Film Is Hilarious

Watched The Stag (Bachelor Weekend) last night and I was laughing throughout.

It's one of the only 'comedies' I have seen in the past twelve months that is genuinely funny, and it has a good storyline too.

I read in a different post it has been marketed as the 'Irish Hangover', which is funny because I had never heard of the film until a couple of days ago, I don't know where this film has been marketed. Anyway my point being if you somehow have come across this and maybe expecting to see a similar film to The Hangover, then you may well be disapointed. The Stag is nothing like The Hangover (thank god!).

Anyway thoughts, ideas? The rating is currently 6.3, I hope I'm not alone in my enjoyment and the rating does shoot up to around 7.5 at least. I'm especially interested to hear what American viewers (I hope you guys get to see this) opinions, although I am anticipating a specific gripe from Americans.

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware this is the Internet BOOK Database.

your dead right mate,it's a very very funny film with a great pitch perfect performance from all the cast, andrew scott is awesome as expected but for me"The Machine" peter McDonald is in stellar form throughout,8/10 all day long

i used to want to change the world.now i just want to leave the room with a little dignity

Agreed. This is now one of my favorite comedies ever. I think comedy is a difficult genre to make and honestly, when I watch one it's more likely that it will be bad or just...okay.
But this thing is hilarious, it's got heart, it's got warmth. Right now the score is 6.1 but I gave it a 10. Can't imagine giving anything less.
Whoever first mentioned the "Irish Hangover" thing doesn't make the least bit of sense, this is a proper comedy that absolutely everyone can enjoy. It's kind and it's genuinely funny. I've been recommending it to everyone.

couldn't agree more...

i thought the interchange between the other guys and The Machine when they first met was one of the funniest scenes i have seen in years.

I would expect many of those lines to be quoted for years to come.
