FRANK SINATRA 195???2-3 ORIGINAL

Old school style gangster flick, is a better movie, its black and white and looks old, but assassination plot was ahead of it's time before JFK, RFK, Martin Luther King etc. and Frank as a psycho section 8 Army sniper works well he's a real sleaze,

I would like to see the original one too. Sinatra made quite a few film noirs.

Bought this old movie on DVD from an aussie ebay seller last week for about $2.95 AUD. It's terrific.

As soon as I saw the title, I knew it had to be based on the 1954 Frank Sinatra flick. According to the ratings, it was a much better movie. I certainly enjoyed the old black and white version very much although some of the lines were sort of corny (esp the traffic cop). The 1954 version is definitely a classic.

I could pretty much guarantee you'll like the original better than the remake Unless however, Your of that generation that doesn't like black and white or dialogue that seems a little ' Dated'

I was glad to see the switch from B/W to color. Nowadays I enjoy watching the old BW movies and TV shows.

Some say the shows are dated. In a way they are but back then they did not rely on an explosion every 5 minutes to fill a story line.

I saw the original and it was better but this one was okay. I am glad that there was not much political lecturing in it. I will probably watch it again sometime when I am looking for something to watch. It was an easy credit for Ray Liotta and Michael Pare.
