NOT another remake! :(

I just saw the poster for this on IMDB's main site! I remember the original with the late greats George Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg (I know I spelled that last name wrong). Hollywood seems to be remaking every movie from the 1970's! Is there anyone in and around Hollywood that has ORIGINAL idea for a movie?!

Rest assured, you spelt it correctly.

It's a remake?

Whatever you are, be a good one.

I rememebr that one too, with the masks being all Groucho Marx rather than Rat pack masks like here. This is an alteration of the original. Oh, and with Ann-Margret. She's excellent (Christopher Lloyd and the delightful child actress Joey King, played Michael Caine's granndaughhter are in this,too.). Strasberg is the correct spelling.

I had no idea this was a remake. Overall it was a mediocre movie made entertaining by the three leads. I mean how can you not enjoy it when it stars Caine, Freeman and Arkin. All three class acts.

I'm usually against remakes myself, but this one worked because they managed to cast some really superb actors.

It actually turned out pretty damn good. My relatives that were fond of the original thought it was hilarious. Even though they couldn't cast Robert De Niro, the ensemble worked.

I would rate this movie an 8/10. It was still entertaining, and got me to see the original.
