From the director of INK

Can't wait to see this one. INK was so damn good...

I can't wait either! Ink was truly unique. I hope this is just as good.

Yes!! He's back!!! I've been waiting since I watched "Ink" to see something else by him. "Uncle Jack" was hilarious and exceptionally well done for a short film. Now . . . "Ink"? Very few movies can do what it did. I cried once at the ending, after having watched before that viewing, and already knew what happened (okay honestly, I had been drinking, but still). For a low-budget, or possibly even zero-budget, movie, "Ink" deserves so much acclaim and praise; it's truly underrated. The action is almost "Matrix"-like (emphasis on "almost"), but the hand-to-hand combat is surprisingly well-edited, well-performed, and just all around applause-worthy.

Now the director is coming back with something else!? I hope it hits theaters. "Ink" is almost like "Donnie Darko" or "The Boondock Saints": should've been in theaters, but wasn't and now people have seen it realize that yes, it should've been. I would give "Ink" a 10/10 if it weren't for my logical confusion of the twist at the end, albeit extraordinarily profound, gut-slamming, and unbelievable, but it's very illogical, only possible on a spiritual level, which I suppose is why its story was very spiritually based, so I guess a 9.5/10 is pretty close.

I'm dying to see more of his work, as much as I am of Christopher Nolan's. Now those are two directors who should work together.

Did you watch and like 11:59?

I too was drawn in by Ink so naturally I had to watch the rest of his movies and shorts. 11:59 was also a great and unique movie to me that had the Ink stamp all over it so I have a feeling Mr. Winans is going to be a very solid and fantastic creator/director of all his movies.

And if you look, there's about a 5 year difference between all 3 of these movies. So someone independent such as him who is developing about every aspect of the story is going to need the time and our patience. Kind of like the band Tool. And I have no problem waiting for masterpieces :D
