The film needs more clues about what is going on...

The film and the story feel great until the serious fantasy stuff kicks in. Call me lazy, but the film has to provide a little bit more explanation about what is going on at the end. Indeed, it provokes a lot of thought and I kinda think that I have my own explanation about why things happen like this. However, the film seems that it is missing a few key scenes to make the viewers satisfied.

I agree with you 100%. Really good movie just about right up till the end when it goes full fantasy and doesn't explain jack squat.

I mean it's completely up to interpretation but you don't have enough to go off of to really form a decent conclusion. I don't mind a movie that isn't clear cut and you have to interpret (The Fountain), but if you are going to go that route provide enough source material to actually be able to come up with something.
