I'm not sure about that. I think it was a more intelligent movie than Ink, but the ending lacked the same emotional punch (at least for me.) It could be because I was worn out from the (spoiler under here, don't hover over it if you don't want to know!) entire script re-writing scene which was SUPER emotional. If it could have ended on a note like that, it would have been perfect. I feel like the end dragged a bit. I get what they were doing, and like I said, it was very intelligent/stylish/cool, just didn't give me that kind of feeling. It did leave me sitting there thinking about it for quite some time though.

If its intention was to be the most moving film of all time, or the most exciting, or what have you, obviously not. And in theory, a perfect movie would be both of those and then some!

However ...

If its intention was to be the most thought-provoking, metaphysically and philosophically interesting, and metaphorically rich movie ever made, all while communicating important psychological truths ... it may well have succeeded.

I'm not yet willing to label it a masterpiece, but I suspect a second viewing will up the emotional force to the requisite level.

Prepare your minds for a new scale of physical, scientific values, gentlemen.

^^
Quite possibly the most intelligent post I have ever read on these boards.

My hat is off to you, sir.

Yeah, I wasn't prepared. I went into it thinking a few hours would be wasted on some cheap production. I got caught up and didn't even realize it until half way through, then it was all I could do to hold on. I'll give it a little time and then go through it again.

I adore where Jamin Winans goes with his films. Love both 'Ink' and 'The Frame'.

I purchased a 'The Frame' fan set from his website, and along with it got a piece of the wallpaper from Alex's apartment in the movie. I have it framed and on my wall, mounted below a framed autographed poster from the movie 😃

Yup. I love this amazing film.
