I wish they had shown more "what ifs"


There was a great opportunity missed, since the film makers decided to go the "time-travel" route. I for one would have liked to see an Iracebeth that grew up having avoided hitting her head on the fountain. She might have been kinder, or maybe they could have made her an even worse person, showing how appearance means nothing, etc. I just think they could have done a few more things with the time-travel story device.

The point of the film was that you can not change time but you can learn from the time you have experienced so having "what ifs" would have ruined that entire point of the film.

Exactly. Iracebeth still hit her head on SOMETHING in spite of Alice's interference because the timeline corrected itself as the past can't be changed. Originally she would have hit the clock carried by the frogs, but instead hits the fountain and ends up with the same result

Psh I don't care about that, I still wanted to see what the characters would have been like if they had lived on in different circumstances.
