The first third of this film was OK, but once the main character enters the Doctor's inner sanctum everything goes to hell. Up until that point you could believe that we were going to see a film based on external reality, where people can agree that there is indeed a UFO in front of them. Once inside the Sanctuary the film turns into a bad acid trip that denies the externality of relations and espouses a solipsistic take on the nature of reality. Like a New Age Nightmare we don't know what is "real" and what are hallucinations. We don't know if we are dealing with science-fiction based aliens or "super-natural" angels and their Fallen siblings.

You know, some people look at clouds in the sky and see mythological beings. Others see cartoon figures. Some see Flying Saucers and other forms of UFOs. Once we were taken inside the "Doctor's (Lucifer's???) Sanctuary the story-line degenerated into the mixed bag of *beep* that a plumber sees when he is trying to unclog a toilet.

The entire second half of the film was an unholy bag of confusion, mixed metaphors and bad movie making. The only good part of this movie was that all it cost me was some time....

As the name of the topic says... Lost Time. Watch if you want to lost your time only!
