A small plot hole?

On the gravestone in the cemetery, it has his DOB as 11th March 1990 and DOD as 14th June 1997. That would make him 17, right? When the mayor is telling Mark about his parents leaving his son to die after the hit and run, he says 'he was 16'! He was riding his motorbike and had been drinking at a pub. Even if he was underage for drinking, don't you have to be 17 to get a license? What is the driving age in the UK?
Another silly mistake. They have the grandmother's name as Betty Nicholas. Isn't she the mother's mother? Mark and Jodie's surname is Nicholas. It would be quite a coincidence that the parents had the same surname before they married!

Wrong, that would make him 7 years of age. I'll assume you made a typo and that the DOB should be 1980 making him 17. There are some motorcycles that you can ride legally at 16. A google search would direct you to the UK DVLC where that can be confirmed.

Yes of course it was a typo, even my maths isn't that bad! LOL
It still doesn't make sense with the Grandmother's name.

At his house, the mayor says his son was 17. In the park, he says he was 16, so there is a bit of an error.

Thanks Paul, glad I'm not the only one that picked it up. No explanation yet, for the maternal grandmother's surname.
