This film fails all the checks of a bad film.

Over-advertised? Check. For the last month this show has been everywhere. That's a sure fire sign that the distributors want to get as much money as they can week one because even they don't have faith in the film.

More than two big stars? Check. This typically means the producers think the script sucks and they're riding the careers of the stars to promote the film.

Eye candy? Semi-check. Alison Brie is cute and probably worth the eye candy.

Cross-over stars? Check. TI? John Mayer? They have no business being in a comedy.

Bottom line is this movie will probably suck, have a couple of funny laughs and overall be underwhelming and pointless.

PASS.

Not even one laugh in it.

If it fails all the checks for a bad film, does that mean it's a good film?

reply

Right....A double negative, so.... must be a great movie. Thanks for the recommendation!

Touche! Despite my awful grammar, my point was this film received all the checks in criteria for all bad film and I was correct. What a flop.

T.I's been in plenty of comedies and has done well in pretty much all of them.

It was over-advertised because they knew they had a turkey on their hands and needed a big box office opening weekend before real word of mouth destroys this thing.

John Mayer made a similar cameo on the Chapelle Show, arguably one of the best skit comedies ever.

I didn't know that more than 2 big stars being in a film is a sign of it being bad. Then again you're saying this film fails that check. That makes sense since there aren't more than 2 big stars by my count, only two. Will Ferrell is one. Kevin Hart is one. One plus one is two. Got it, thanks for recommending this film!

I thought Mayer's song on Jimmy Fallon's show was funny. One of the few times I actually laughed.
