For Manga Readers: Importance of the Prequel Series

Do you think the prequel series will tie into the plot of the main series or just be a stand alone back story? Do you think this series will be animated?

I have only read up to the 15th volume in the main series and the 4th volume in the prequel series.

If you need to post any spoilers, please black them out so that I can know.

Are you talking about "Before The Fall"? If you are, I don't think there will be any tie-in. If anything it will shed some light on some stuff that has happened, but other than that it won't have any impact at all on the "original" narrative.
