Ending

Does anyone else think the ending was really rushed? I feel like something was missing...

reply

The story doesn't end like that... as you know, the second season should be out next year, in April.

However, they changed the ending to the last episode slightly, but if you read the manga chapter you can see what the changes were. Did you see the scene after the credits?

Fine, fine, I'll leave! But first I'm going to bother these peanuts! Hmm? Yes? Hmm? HMM?

reply

Yes, I can't wait for Season 2, although I can't see what much more they can really do with the show.
I didn't see it, what happened? And I haven't read the manga, but will probably invest in it soon!
Thank you so much for your really informative comment :)

Well there's a lot of unanswered questions still... What are the Titans, where do they come from, where did the Female Titan come from, who are the Colossal/Armored Titans, where is Eren's father... don't really understand why you say that you can't see what more they could do with the show when it has barely "started"... there's so much more to the story :O... Like, especially what's in the basement, remember?

As you can see it ends with a cliffhanger.

And if you want to see what happens immediately after that, watch this:

The manga is really good though, if you start reading it I suggest you start from the beginning. Hope this was helpful.

Again, thank you so much!
Although there is a mysterious backstory, I believe that the second season will not be on par with the first. With Death Note, the story fell flat halfway through but picked up. I believe the second season will be similar in nature.

Ooh, that is interesting. I bet it's Eren's father, seeing as the Titan powers were genetic.

No problem, it's always good to help fellow fans.

Thing is, you're looking at this as if it was a real tv show or something, referring to it as "seasons", when in fact the story is much more linear but has to be broken up into parts for the TV animation, otherwise the story as a whole is pretty solid. Of course there's bound to be some ups and downs, it can't always be action action action otherwise it gets pretty boring.

Although, if you want to know, yes, there was a moment in the manga (which will be animated) that a lot of people didn't like, and I think some people kinda gave up then, but it was something necessary for the story to move forward. Either way, you shouldn't look at it as "this season was unnecessary/bad" or something, you have to look at the whole picture to get a better understanding of what is going on.

You mean the Titan in the Wall? Well, the Walls were made hundreds of years ago, so it can't possibly be him in there ;).

What leads you to assume that Titan's powers are genetic? Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, although this has somewhat been answered already in the manga.
