season 2 trailer. the show will air in April 2017

I don't know what's happening in the manga { I'm just watching anime} but I read there are few plot twists. one of the most shocking and interesting twist in season 1 is how Annie is revealed to be badass bitch.
I hope season 2 doesn't disappoint me.

Annie was always a badass ever since she was introduced.

What are you expecting from Season 2?

Also nevermind that article, it's sad to see how f_cking sh!tty Bloody-Disgusting has become, a website I've been checking ever since 2005.

One of the biggest reveals, however, is that we learn that many of the Titans are good and helping to stop the bad giants from total destruction.

Lolno. Whoever wrote this clearly has no f_cking clue what they're on about.

Fine, fine, I'll leave! But first I'm going to bother these peanuts! Hmm? Yes? Hmm? HMM?

From what I've heard isn't the Beast Titan Eren's father or someone heavily connected to him?

reply

If you really want to know...not his father... but half-brother.

I'm planning to read and catch up on the entirety of the manga by the time the show will be released. Just finished catching up in walking dead cannot wait for Attack on Titan

I wonder how much of the manga they're going to adapt.

Trailer confirms the Clash of the Titans Arc. I hope they don't speed or completely ignore the Uprising Arc. I liked it. It was different and it had plenty of revelations that are now coming back in the current chapters.

I hope they adapt the Return to Shiganshina Arc and Basement/History Arc but then that'd be too much. I'd rather they adapt the next two and then end it on that cliffhanger leading into the Return to Shiganshina Arc for Season 3.

The Manga is supposed to be ending in 2018, late 2018 I believe so Season 2 in 2017 and then Final/Season 3 in 2019 or even late 2018 and have the last episodes air just as the Manga finishes. I don't wanna wait another 4 years and plus, I feel that if Season 2 doesn't bring the hype back then we won't get a continuation.

Season 2 will cover the Uprising Arc, and end at Chapter 70 with Historia being crowned Queen and the after credits scene showing beast Titan/Zeke kicking Armored Titan's ass.

Which will be the perfect setup for the final 3rd season, which will start with the two-month timeskip, immediately followed up with the return to Shiganshina arc.

The only reason Season 2 took this look was because they had to wait for more material to come out. They had to wait at the very least 2 years.

Now, we're probably not gonna have to wait as much for the 3rd Season, but the studio already said that after this, they would be making a 2nd season for Kabaneri, so there won't be a 3rd AoT season in either 2018 and 2019.

Maybe at the end of 2019, most likely early 2020 I'm afraid.

IF the manga does wrap up at 110 chapters (late 2018), there's a slight chance that the final season could premiere less than a year after that, but it's all up to the studio and whether or not they'll be making other things in the meantime.

That's exactly where I want Season 2 to end. Perfect f..king ending for everything that came before and a great way to set up season 3 and to let audiences know more will come in the future.

Also I see this as a three act structure. Hopefully the Manga ends by the time Season 3 comes. I don't get why they don't um…adapt the Prequel Series? Its not written by the creator but by someone else but that's canon isn't it? I haven't read it though but I'm interested.

It's not exactly "canon" I believe, but I know what you mean. I always figured that adapting "Before the Fall" in-between Attack on Titan seasons would be a great deal for the studio and the fans, but then again you can't really blame the studio if it wants to pursue other works (that's why they did Kabaneri).

Personally, I'd rather have them focus completely on AoT, but there's no doubt in my mind that Before the Fall will be turned into an anime, sooner or later, probably once SnK/AoT has wrapped, but it probably won't be the same studio that makes it, though that would be sweet.

The thing about this "prequel" is that no events are actually tied (I believe?) to the main storyline, but I reckon it would still be pretty cool and fans would be ok with that because they would get to see a lot more of AoT's world, though some might say that after the end/reveal of AoT it will be somewhat pointless to adapt Before the Wall.

Time will tell.

Seems like Season 2's hype is still strong after all the wait. The Japanese trailer has almost a million views and it's been out for less than two weeks. By anime trailer standards that's pretty high.
