The Hollywood movie might be alright but the funniest thing is stupid SJW claiming whitewashing. They are so dumb they don't even realise the manga and Anime has a diverse cast and the only main Japanese character is Mikasa.

Just more anti white hatred from self hating SJWs.

Hollywood one would actually be good if they followed each arc as a separate movie and only casted Mikasa and her mum as the only asians as all the other characters are obviously based on German, English and America, European looks. But Hollywood will f..k it up.

Again, if they did it right yeh.

Sasuke and his Clan would have to be Japanese.

Sakura is obviously based on European looks.

Naruto again is of German/American looks.

The other clans are obviously of various races based on their looks.

But the problem is majority japanese culture based. Holly wood *beep* it up.

The casting wouldn't save the film either way. You know why? Because studios are more concerned in making a big return, as opposed to actually make something "good" and worthwhile.

That's why most superhero flicks are crap. and the story ends up being nothing but a pile of sh_t riddled with plot holes. Slap some a-list actors, waste a hundred million bucks on some expensive and grandiose fight sequences, and you're good to go, people will pay to see something they won't have to think too much about.

I'm not saying Hollywood can't make good anime adaptations (or even adaptations in general), it's just that their business model doesn't really allow it, which is a damn shame.

The thing with the japanese ones is that their CGI is extremely, extremely terrible, and most of the time their live-action flicks end up having a more campy feel as opposed to being a more "serious", grounded work.

But again, this is something tough to achieve from the get go because we're dealing with manga/anime, stories that 9 times out of 10 are just outrageous and so out there.

There's a million things that just don't translate well to live-action, namely the animation/action sequences in general.

Still, I'd rather have japanese films, because at the very least they would keep the original tone/acting/voicing, which is something that not even dubs can replicate.

Besides, what are the chances that the people involved (Hollywood), actors and such, would be familiar with the source work? I mean, at least in Japan everyone knows what manga is, it's part of their very own culture, and that's always a plus.

Yeah, the japanese ones also tend to be crap, but the actors always give it their best, and they go all out.

I'm crossing my fingers for the Ghost in the Shell movie, but it probably won't be that much impressive. Well, can't be worse than the AoT ones I guess...~

The Naruto movie has a 50/50 chance of being good just because Kishimoto is helping them with it. That said the Director is a complete unknown but you know the saying, don't judge a book by its cover. I'll wait for footage before I judge.

The Attack on Titan movie has potential but like you said they only care about the greens and not telling a good story. That said, if they cast the right people and focus on the characters and story and hire a good director and don't go the Dragonball Movie route it could end up blowing the Japanese version out of the way.

Ghost In The Shell surprisingly looks good but at the same time feels repetitive, like BEEN THERE, DONE THAT kind of thing. Could be good. Who knows. I like they're taking elements of the first movie and using the villain from the second season and combining it. Its like taking the best bits and making something original with it. I'm hoping its good. To be fair there's been so many different versions of GITS. From the original two movies. To the two anime seasons. To the new series and movie. GITS is one of those that has had many alternative tales and they're all their own thing. As long as the movie keeps to the themes of what the series is about it'll be good.

I'm curious about the Fullmetal Alchemist movie that's coming out. The special effects for that in the teaser looked good actually surprisingly. And that again has had two different versions of alternative stories.

Also most superhero flicks are good. Marvel's been killing it and Fox has hits and misses but DC has been flopping mostly. Otherwise no Sir, most superhero flicks aren't crap.

That hardly means anything. One of the reasons the AoT films bombed so much was because Isayama was involved, and he decided not to make an actual adaptation, but to set the action of the movies in a post-apocalyptic version of our world, along with a dozen of other terrible ideas, because he wanted to "experiment" (nazi-like outfits, RPGs... lol).

Likewise, I believe that Kubo is also involved with the Bleach live-action movie. Bruh, have you seen the set photos? It's no surprise that it looks like a damn joke, I mean I've seen dozens of cosplays that looked better in every single aspect.

As for Kishimoto, all I can say is that I have no expectations, I'm not really interested in seeing the movie either. I mean, all he's been doing is milking the Naruto cash cow that's been dead for quite a while. Year-long fillers, Boruto series, etc.

I mean, after hundreds of episodes/chapters and hundreds of hours of material, what sort of story could he come up with for a 2h film that could actually leave people satisfied? If he tries to fit in a lot of villains + Akatsuki and sh_t, it will be nothing but a jumbled, rushed mess, and if he comes up with a new, "original story", people will just say that they should've called the movie something else.

Well, I'll have to politely disagree with that opinion. Let me start off by saying that I'm neither a Marvel/DC fanboy, but I'm sure you'll be able to tell that.

I mean, I haven't watched every single Marvel movie, typically I only watch the Avengers ones to see what the fuss is all about and to see if the phase build-up was worth it.

Age of Ultron was terrible, and I was in shock most of the time. I'll never forget a comment on the internet that said "Age of Ultron? More like, days of Ultron", which is exactly what it was.

But the most recent and serious offender (that I've seen) has to be Civil War. I'm more or less familiar with the actual Civil War from the comics, and yes, I understand that for a movie they could never fit in the whole story/dozens of characters, maybe if they had stretched the whole thing into 2-3 movies, but basically the whole movie is summed up by "Captain American and Iron Man get mad at eachother, boo-f_cking-hoo".

I won't bother going into detail in every single aspect because I'm sure you've seen those been brought up already, but like I said, a lot of things just don't make any sense, and when you consider those holes the story doesn't just hold on its feet.

Like, for Zemo's plan to work, a dozen things had to happen the way he exactly wanted, when he wanted, and he simply had no knowledge if/when some of those would happen. His whole "plan" was like playing the lottery, basically, and we're just supposed to accept it that he kinda succeeded.

The whole Captain/Iron Man thing also didn't make sense, all could've been solved if they talked. I mean, Stark used to be anti-government, but all it takes is a random mom with a dead son to change his mind about things? People die all the time, especially when sh_t like that happens in Marvel movies, it's unavoidable and everyone already knows that.

And when Nemo is saying those code words to the Winter Soldier... like, literally, all Bucky had to do was cover his ears, or rupture his eardrums, but he just stands there and waits for it...

There's far too many gaps and inconsistencies in the movie, and I won't even say anything about the editing...

Civil War and the previous one, Age of Ultron, are great examples of movies barely held together. They throw some cool stuff in, and that's it, they don't have to worry too much about it because "it's the Avengers" and it will always end up making money. That's the only "great" thing that Marvel accomplished over the years, and money-wise their efforts have paid off.

But it's not all bad. Guardians of the Galaxy was a good movie, and I'm very curious to see the next Thor because of the director behind it (he made the comedy What We Do In The Shadows). When you consider those movies (+ the footage already shot by said director^), you can see what makes them good, and why the Avengers ones failed terribly: there's a consistent tone and concept to them, kinda like how Deadpool did it, and all those elements come together perfectly in the end, everything fits together. With the Avengers, they just throw stuff into the mixer and what comes out is barely put together.

And the same thing (sadly) applies to DC. I haven't seen BvS or Suicide Squad, but from everything that I've seen/read - not "opinions", mind you, but things regarding what's actually in the movie -and they're equally terrible. In BvS, it's pretty much the same thing as Civil War, confrontations could've been avoided if the characters had just talked, but "conveniently", they just don't. With Suicide Squad, the news that it was doing some re-shoots was already a giant red flag.

See, that's what I told you, and that's what ends up f_cking most of these movies, the fact that studio executives want certain things to be done some way, because they want "money". But when they give directors more space and freedom, they can go all the way and make the movie that they want to make (Guardians), and that's how you make a good film that resonates with the audience.

I mean, everyone was so "omg" with the airport fight scene from Civil War, but honestly it did do nothing for me, maybe because the whole situation was just so damn ridiculous and they had no real reason to be fighting amongst eachother. The script just didn't do its job.

Anyway, that's just my opinion.

Nope. Civil War was great. Not gonna argue about why. If you haven't watched all the other films or payed attention to all the character development that goes on to understand the characters inner conflicts and reasons for why they would fight then there's no point to explain. And the Civil War comic was s..t. The movie was ten times better. At least I actually felt conflicted about whose side was right or wrong wheres with the Comic Iron Man was clearly the bad guy. There was no real opposing conflicts in the comic. It was a mess. The movie took the essentials and made something worthy out of it.

Age of Ultron isn't that bad. Its disappointing compared to one but its not that bad. The only real thing that disappointed me about Ultron was the action wasn't that good compared to 1. Storywise it was okay. I wish just Ultron had been set up beforehand.

I don't like comedy in these films unless its done right. As you've mentioned Guardians of the Galaxy was good. Actually, the only films that failed in the comedy department in my opinion were Iron Man 3, Thor 2 and Age of Ultron (At times). Those films should have kept it serious and or at least relied on human comedy or normal reactions and not forced humoured. Thor 3…um…Well as long as its better than that second crap one then good. I won't complain much.

Anyway, back to topic…Isayama was seriously involved? Okay, yep, I've lost hopes for the Naruto movie. That said, at least it isn't been produced by that ass Avi Aard or whatever he's called. Glad he didn't get his hands on it. Otherwise it would be a hundred times. But obviously it'll still be worse.

Here's the thing, if they just focus one movie on each arc it could work. Movie 1, the whole Team 7 Intro, Haku and Zabuza arc. Second film would be the Forest of Death exam. Third film the final exam and battle. If they do it lie that. That way they don't need to stuff everything into one film. But sadly they won't do that. 

Yeh, the Bleach movie looks like s..t. Kubo doesn't particularly look that interested in it to be honest. I'm more hoping that maybe the movie will help to get traction on the anime returning.

Sadly it won't return, I'm pretty sure of that. I mean, the main reason why - most - anime are made, is so that they can boost up the sales of the manga volumes. That's really the only reason (besides anime-only originals) why they make anime in the first place, to boost the sales - or to make even more popular - a certain manga series that's having moderate good sales, and has an opportunity to "blow up" and become the next best thing.

Not only has Bleach already concluded, but it ended amidst an authentic sh_tstorm, fans even going as far as breaking their dvds and torching their whole collection.

From a business standpoint, it doesnt make any sense to bring Bleach back as an anime because:

1) the story ended atrociously;
2) a great deal of people now "hate" it.

There probably wouldn't be any audience for it. Still, I'd rather have them try to make an anime as opposed to a live-action film, which is even more unnecessary...

The only way an anime could possibly work would be if it continued as Kubo originally intended for it to continue, as opposed to wrap it up the way he did, but he probably will never go back on his word.

Either way, we still have the light novels to look for, with some additional content, but sadly it won't ever be the same as the actual manga chapters.

Interesting. You're not aware of the developers have talked about it?

There was a interview done I believe last month and the director of the anime I think was asked a simple question about the manga ending and he replied and he and the team have being discussing what they would add in the discussions they have been having regarding the anime. In other words the developers WANT to do it. Its just they need the go ahead.

Its really surprising how the sales for the light novel released has skyrocketed. Shonen Jump has done nothing but piss on bleach and kubo and their shock and surprise the novel is doing so well that Amazon Japan has run out of stock for it. Here's hoping the sales of that, plus the support the mobile games are getting, the fact Bleach is over anime and manga wise and its still selling shows how consumable it still is. I bet Shonen are shooting themselves in the foot for cancelling it.

When the chapter with the "X chapters left until the conclusion" was released, I had no f_cking idea what had just happened.

I was so sure that Bleach would still go on for at least 4-5 years, and I'm pretty sure that was Kubo's plan as well.

I was kinda hoping for an announcement to say that there would be a Bleach sequel in another magazine, but sadly that wasn't the case.

Yes, I know which interview you're referring to, but I don't know. Of course animators always want more work to do, but yeah...

Honestly though, I'd be fine with OVAs à la Hellsing Ultimate, even if they were to cover the rest of the story as it happened in the manga. The fights were cool, even though the whole Zero Squad thing and all turned out to be quite disappointing... the way it ended, at least.

I did not know about the sales doing that well, that's cool. Has the second one been released already? I can't remember if it was due in January or "sometime in 2017", probably the latter though.

I wonder if WSJ retains the rights to Bleach, or if Kubo would be allowed to continue it somewhere else, but like I said he kinda said it himself (or maybe he just can't talk about it or he'll be sued) that he ended it the way he wanted, which is obviously a lie.

I thought we had like 20 chapters left when I saw that announcement. After the ending date was revealed I realised it was pretty much cancelled. And by my calculations there was at least one more year to go for it to end.

Kubo said the final arc would be as long as the Arrancar Arc which ran for…28 Volumes. The Final Arc ran for 20 Volumes. That means we had at least 8 more volumes left. So yeah, at best the beginning of 2018 would have been the end.

A proper final battle between the Miracle, Toshiro, Kenpachi and Byakaya with maybe other characters showing up.

Uryu and his proper final battle between Hashwalth. I'm 100% positive his dad was meant to show up and help.

Same with Isshin going to help Ichigo and the Fullbringers showing up to offer aid against Yhwach and having a proper battle against him and forcing him to leave back to the Soul Society.

A proepr final battle with Ichigo and Aizen vs Yhwach. Probably a volume or two of chapters focusing on Yhwach's, Aizen's and the Soul King's backstories and then a proper all around Final Battle.

But did we get that? No…because Shonen Jump are as shores and its biting them in the arse. They replaced Bleach for a manga that they cancelled after 15 chapters. Goes to show how badly that backfired the dumb s..ts.

Knowing the animators and the fact that Kubo worked well with them I imagine if the Anime ever did come back for that final arc adaptation which I hope we will one day, ONE DAY get in the future, they'll add in original stuff that Kubo didn't get time to put in and extend the ending or final battles. I have no problem with the ENDING. I have a problem with the INBETWEEN that Ending. Thankfully the novels are explaining things.

Hmm.

I said over 4-5 years left because that's just what I assumed given some of my calculations. Remember the minus (-) Turn Back the Pendulum chapters?

I'm pretty sure that those were meant to continue until they would eventually reach zero. I mean, weren't we supposed to witness the "origin" of the dispute between Yamamoto and Juha and everything, a 1000 years ago? Along with a bunch of other stuff?

If I'm right and the TBTP chapters were supposed to go on until reaching 0, then that alone would've been 2 years worth of manga.

You might think that's a bit overkill, 2 years worth of flashbacks, but that would've probably been one of the best things to have happened in Bleach, to witness Yamamoto and his division of "killers" in their younger days, especially Unohana... I mean, most of the fanbase hates Ichigo as well, might as well let the other characters shine for a bit.

And then about 1-2 years to wrap up things around, with all the motives being clear and all that.

I mean, there's just so many things that I can't possibly see how he could've wrapped it all up in just 20 chapters. Hell, even 50 would've been a stretch.

- we didn't even go back to Kira to see how the fight turned out, and f_ck, we didn't even get to see his Bankai, which is probably one of the very few that I actually wanted to see;

- what's the deal with Urahara Kisuke, and wtf even happened to him?

You know what, f_ck it, there's no point in listing all those. I tried to look up a thread on reddit but can't find it, where they compiled all the unanswered questions and stuff that we were meant to see.

Holy S..t,,,I never realised that the Turn Back the Pendulum chapters.

I mean, I started rereading the series recently and when i got to those I noticed the weird chapter numbers and I was confused why they were numbered like that. You're probably right and that was the case. That or a prologue series. GODDAMN IT!!!

I'm so f..king annoyed now.

The novel is currently answering some questions.

Yoriuchi? is alive and now a academy teacher.

Yhwach is the new soul king. Technically his corpse is and the Zero Squad took it and back up. The high command has falsified the true story and only those who fought in the war and survived know the real truth but everyone else believes the previous Soul King is still alive.

Kommaru the werewolf is a wolf forever that hides out in the Seventh barracks. Recent chapter had two were wolf brothers come to Iba to become soul reapers in honour of Kommaru who can communicate with them and they translate what he says to Iba.

Kira is basically a zombie/cyborg of sorts.

Kuna was off protecting the villagers and citizens in the bunkers under her captain's orders.

Ragiko? Gin's girlfriend left and was destroying all the s..t following from the Floating city to Soul Society using her Shikai.

The next novel that will come out will be about Hisagi discovering something regarding Tousei his previous captain and something involving the Four Nobel families. The Soul King, Arrancars, Fullbringers will be explored in that novel.

But so far this current novel is doing a good job explaining some things. I wanna know if Urahara, Grimmjow and Nel are alive. Then again Yoriuchi survived so they must be alive too.
