Title?

Is the title supposed to suggest the subtle rhythms in language that get lost in translation? Or was there some other connection?

I had mixed reactions to the film. I liked the premise, and the actors were all excellent, and it all looked great--but somehow the thing seemed stuck in first gear and never really got going anywhere. The final speech from the mother should have helped on some level, but lines like "tomorrow is another day" just seemed kind of flat. (Maybe that's the answer: the movie "lilts" when I wanted it to soar, or at least to come out and say something.)
