Did u find the joke about "run away slaves" offensive also? In my opinion, that one was worse since it's a joke on race, not about a "story", spread word of mouth ages ago ie. religion
Also, I hope you realize how racist Americans were during this time... It wasn't just against Muslims you know...

shareI am not Arabian but Muslim and i did not feel offended by this movie. Actually i felt a cold shiver going trough my spine when i saw the guy using a 'running slave' theme for his shooting gallery and found the last scene the most funniest and awesome of them all.

honestly its always white people who have not experienced prejudice or racism that are always "offended" for other people lol.
i am sure that people will just lie and say they are to save face, but i am extremely confident (as it has been my experience in life) that 99% of those who are "offended" by this crap, have no reason to be and are just perpetuating the "hate" they want to see, rather than the "comedy" that the creators were aiming for.
Personally i dont find seth mcfarlanes stuff funny. i did enjoy most of the episodes of family guy during its original run (before it was cancelled), but ever since it came back, i found the show to be aimed at 12-16 year olds rather than the more broad audience it reached before. I shud note that i still do like the older episodes, and found them to be pretty hilarious when viewing them again (after ~10 years). I didnt remember most of them so it was like viewing it for the first time.
A lot of mcfarlanes stuff is for people who dont like complex comedy or anything u have to really think about. He goes for shock/slapstick/poofart/etc stuff that a lot of people do like. Personally i cant stand it, but i did like it when i was much younger, so i believe thers an audience, i am just not it.
I'm Black, and I rated this movie an "8". Yes, my family (mom's side) are descendants of slaves, and as a matter of fact, I met my great grandmother when I was a child, and she was born into slavery. It wasn't THAT long ago in the grand scheme of things.
That being said, I don't give a crap about racist jokes - as long as the ones dishing them out can take them. And I have a sharp tongue, so I give it back in spades (yes, that was a joke). Frankly, if a movie or a comedian is an equal opportunity destroyer, I'm cool with it. Now if the move were all about just kicking a bunch a brothas upside the head while laughing, I'd go get my shotgun. But it's all in good fun. A little n-word joke here, a Jewish joke there (the culture, not the religion), a st*pid cracker joke now and again, and I'm happy. Just roll me in watermelon juice and fried chicken crumbs and send me on my way.
And I'd rather an Arab joke than a Muslim joke. I can get with making fun of cultures and races, but for some reason I draw the line at religion. Maybe because what someone believes in is so personal.
