Wasn't all that bad...

Saw it today. Was pretty fun. Didn't like Boyega's accent as some parts where hard to understand. Battles were fun and the sheer size comparison between the scrap Jaeger and military ones were friggin hyuuuge. Plot was substandard though. I also don't remember why Boyega's character left the army. Some falling out or didn't like what he saw or wasn't right for him? I just know he was like the best pilot there and then just left...

The movie premise was basically building up to the last final battle fight so there will be lots and lots of talkitive expositions with minor fights inbetween to not bore the shit outta you.

Also, CHINA PANDER GALORE. They clearly can speak English but just love to use zhe native tongue and sound all so serious. Gotta sell them tickets in Chyna.

China pandering? USA pandering? Target audience pandering perhaps?
Face it, the USA is losing it's relevance.

Yes, most definitely audience targeting. They don't care as much about US profits but more so on profits that could be made from China if its even worth it since they only get like 10% of the profits if I recall. That or it's one of the requirements from Chinese investors for said movies to pander to China to some degree. US has been losing its relevance since Trump took office but that's a different story.

I would love all countries to be relevant and united. Life is too short for war and crap.
