I thought the writing was great.
I thought everything about this movie was great. I loved it and I am a masculine heterosexual man. The only criticisms I read seem to be coming from those who don't realize it is a comedy, a satire, and it is thick with irony. Or, they are just very insecure.
The only minor criticism I have of the film is when the lead male actor gets thrown out of the home where he was working, his love interest doesn't react appropriately. I thought that was weak. But, other than that, everything else was terrific.
I gave this movie a 10. It was smart, clever and funny. I laughed out loud and I don't do that often with movies.
